REGISTRATION
Rain or Shine registration will begin at 9:00 AM at the Joe Ritchey Bridge launch site parking area. Official launch time is 12:00 PM. Pledges, donations, directions, waiver & registration forms will be collected at the registration table. We encourage participants to download the forms from our site and have them ready upon arrival to keep the line moving. Raffle tickets and T-shirts will be available for purchase at the launch site. A minimum donation of $15.00 for adults and $5.00 for children at registration would be greatly appreciated. Please note all participants MUST register. Even if you are unable to provide a monetary donation you still must register and sign a waiver form for liability reasons. Each participant will be issued a waterproof wristband as proof of registration. Porta potties will be available at the launch.
Please unload canoes/kayaks and move vehicles promptly to Cooper's Recreation Area in Hopewell. You will be able to register as soon as you return. DO NOT wait until the last minute if you are planning to utilize the shuttle services. Shuttle buses are provided from Cooper's Recreation Area to Joe Ritchey Bridge in the morning during registration hours ONLY! The final bus, full or not, will leave NO LATER THAN 11:00. This is important to keep the launch on schedule. Volunteers will be present at the launch site to assist participants with any question you may have. Please know you are more than welcome to camp for FREE at Cooper's Recreation Area the week of the float, no reservations needed!
Please make personal checks, cashier's checks or money orders payable to Children's Hospital of Pittsburgh Foundation. We highly encourage any cash donations gathered by participants be converted to check or money order prior to the float. We make every attempt to NOT handle cash.
T-shirts will be available while supplies last- $12.00 each or (2) for $20.00. Remember- all T-shirts were sold during registration in 2015. First come, first serve.
The float from Joe Ritchey Bridge to Cooper's Recreation Area is approximately 10 miles. Depending on the paddler and water levels, total time on the water averages between 3-5.5 hours. Please bring drinks and food for yourself while on the river.

Cooper's Recreation Area Float Finish
The Float For Charity will end at Cooper's Recreation Area in Hopewell, PA. You will be able to purchase raffle tickets and T-shirts at Cooper's. At roughly 6:30 PM the winning raffle ticket numbers will be announced. We invite you to stay after the float for live entertainment. A large canopy tent will be provided for live entertainment but tarps, umbrellas, etc. are welcomed. Sipes Smokehouse BBQ will be on site to offer delicious BBQ for purchase throughout the day! Tailgaters are also welcome to bring their own cooler, grill, folding tables and chairs if you like.
Please camp responsibly! Leave no trace. Absolutely no littering! There is free trash removal provided by Broad Top Township Supervisors. Please take advantage of this or pack out what you packed in.
